Ohio Rural Water Launches New Training Facility

The renovations and expansions are done at the Ohio Rural Water Association’s offices on Whites Road in Zanesville.  In fact, ORWA held its first ever training class at the new facility on February 28th, 2013.  This momentous occasion included a free EPA (Environmental protection Agency) continuing education credit class for 25 water and waste water operators.  The session was led by Mr. Barry Walter of Hydro Designs, who discussed the importance of cross connections and the dangers of backflow.

The Ohio Rural Water Association is at a great place right now.  Moving forward, continually improving, and providing the very best for the rural residents of Ohio. 

This is where ORWA is at. 

 

The exciting office building construction and remodeling for Ohio Rural Water’s home on Whites Road in Zanesville is entering its final stages.  When completed, the new facility will offer an optimal site for the highest quality training and certification for water and wastewater operators across the buckeye state.

ORWA offers web based CCR delivery!

On January 3rd the EPA released a guidance memo that allows for the use of "electronic methods" to meet the requirement to " mail or otherwise directly deliver" your annual CCR report.

 

Ohio Rural Water formats dozens of CCR's a year in order to help small community water systems comply with their reporting requirements. We will continue to offer this assistance but will now also host systems CCR on the Internet with a direct URL link as required by the EPA . If your system provides a notice of the link to their customers , you will no longer be required to mail the CCR!!

 

How much time and money will that save your system?

 

By sending the Association a PDF version of your CCR report to :

This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it We will post your report by creating your own Direct URL Link as required by the EPA and send you an invoice it is as simple as that!

 

As an example your link address will look something like this: http://www.ohioruralwater.org/ ccr/yoursystemname

 

This is a no hassle way to save your system real money and time. Just call the Association office and for $50 per year for members and $100 per year for non members you can relax knowing you have mailed your last CCR report!
